Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West by Gregory Maguire
3.0
I read this one...so you don't have to!
Honestly, I'd read it several years ago and only remember thinking it was confusing and hard to follow. Armed with that knowledge, I found a study guide to help me through this time, and while it helped tremendously, it still didn't save the story.
I am so excited to go see the movie now and I'm curious how closely it will follow the book - though I hope it strays quite far because the book is full of weird sexual things and is overall very dark. I do love getting the backstory in Alphaba, Glinda, and the political climate of Oz.
