The first 60% is wonderful and intense and then the last 40% is a horrific description of the mutiliation of a two different people groups. I nearly threw up reading this. It's very unethical to make a fantasy novel using actual historical accounts of one of the worst crimes agains humanity. Really horrendous. Please do yourself a favor and skip this novel. There is a limit to violence that people should not cross for the sake of entertainment and this book crossed it.
