Synopsis: Tully Hartlock had always felt suffocated by her ancestor’s legacy, never more so than in the aftermath of her parents’ deaths. Now, hiding from the alpha that manipulated her in her grief, the only joy she has is her friendship with one of her Only Omgea patrons. She’s saving  up to leave the country, but when she becomes unhomed, she finds herself in the path of Walden Baylark, son of her parent’s former friends, and his pack, which just so happens to include the patron she’s been falling for.

Thoughts:
TLDR; A gritty and sensual omegaverse romance that explores what it means to carry the weight of legacy and expectations, the freedom and strength in support, and what it means to forge your own path.

I am obsessed with how this is all set up! As you may know, the first book in the series, Omega Foudned is one of my favorite omegaverses. This book follows Tully, the distant ancestor of the omega from book one. It’s a story about legacy, expectations, and forging one’s own path—a perfect echo and continuation of the themes from book one. The setting is modern, but there are mild dystopian aspects to the world.

Tully is an incredibly resourceful omega who, despite her many traumas, has a huge heart. Many of her quirks were so endearing, like her propensity for bullet journaling and her passion for telling stories with film. She’s still healing, grieving, and trying to carry the burden of her last name, but she’s a survivor.

The MCs are a wonderful mix of characters. There’s Walden, the workaholic legacy alpha that lives through checklists, his first love, Pan, a dark and troubled pianist, Pan’s brother, Ajax, a warm and caring historian, and their pack beta, Lloyd, who fell in love with Tully through his phone screen. Their pack is desperately dysfunctional, but they are so real.

Tully falls into their pack like the perfect missing piece, but their romance isn’t all sunshine and roses. They will have to work for their HEA, and of course it wouldn’t be a Mae Pierce omegaverse without some delicious groveling. Speaking of delicious, aside from all of the angsty, cozy, and romantic feels, you’ll find a rich dollop of smutty goodness with a glistening k!nk cherry on top. Two words: sit, pup.

I wanted to quickly mention that this book is officially my favorite representation of designation dysphoria. I found the storyline surrounding Pan and his darkness so incredibly moving, and the way his dysphoria is handled and supported was so well done.

Definitely recommend this one to omegaverse readers!!
