The Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires by Grady Hendrix

5.0

Really quick read for me. Yes the women are written into their stereotypes, but I think the people reading into it too much don’t realize that the author grew up around these women that landed and stayed in their roles. In this book it highlights the consequences of saying nothing until it effects you. And highlights how white privilege hurts others through inaction and silence.
The feel of this book is very steel magnolias meets buffy the vampire slayer.
