Is there absolutely no way that Rebecca could not have picked a different name than Llewellyn for both a place and a person, I spent most of the book trying to figure out which one she was talking about. Also map including the isles they spent half the book trying to find, and get two would’ve been nice for reference.

I read a lot of fantasy books with a lot of different important characters, but trying to keep track of her characters and what they do is damn near impossible. It’s not the amount of characters. It’s the lack of story building these characters have and then all the sudden they are important.

She leaves us on yet another cliffhanger at the end that had me having to go back and read the last two or three pages again and again trying to figure out if I missed something. Is this good? Yes, it leaves me wanting more. But is it bad? Again, also yes. Especially knowing we have to wait two years.

Honestly, one of the best parts of this book was broccoli. And he didn’t even get a full page.

I’m at my wits end with this miscommunication trope and keeping secrets and then being pissed off at friends, family and loved ones. This is not a 16 year-old girl, she’s in her 20’s, and we are at book 3. Let’s drop the miscommunication crap and move on. Especially when she’s the one that put the hard line in the sand of keeping secrets from her.

And I definitely want more of Violet‘s sister (Mira) and Drake. Can we please get the novella of him worrying over her? Taking care of her and nursing her back to health? Come on I want that story.
