the story was sweet and heartbreaking at the same time, but idk i was just not a fan of the writing style or dialogue. lots of telling instead of showing. maybe that was due to listening to the audiobook instead of reading it? hard to know. i 10000% believe we need more intersectional queer stories like this but i was just not the biggest fan of this book.
