House of Sky and Breath by Sarah J. Maas
5.0
“Our love is stronger than time, greater than any distance. Our love spans across stars and worlds. I will find you again. I promise.”
House of Sky and Breath is the second book in the ongoing Crescent City series written by Sarah J. Maas. It continues to follow Bryce and Hunt’s relationship as they work together with their friends to uncover the dark secrets of their world.
WOW WOW WOW. What a book and what an ending. There was twists page after page and I just couldn’t put this down. The plot of this book was insane. Though, I can’t say too much without spoiling it! I love every single character, they are so intricately crafted with dynamic personalities. The world-building is magical and the descriptions are so indepth, it’s so easy to visualise Lunathion, it felt like I was really there.
Now, my one dislike for this series as a whole, is the term ‘Alphahole’; I hate it. It hits the nail on the head for describing territorial Fae males, but every time Bryce says it, I cringe a little inside. Also, I’ve noticed that because of how detailed the world-building is, some people do struggle with this series, but I promise, if you persevere, it’s worth it.
I finished this book last night and could not stop thinking about it. I was reflecting on the mind blowing ending and discussing theories with my boyfriend, even though he has no idea who half of these characters are…
If anything happens to Ruhn or Hunt, I will be rioting… I need the next book right now!
