This was a re-read from over 4 years ago... I loved the time travel element, Gabi reacted to things as I imagine a teen girl would XD. She wasn't overly weak like some girl characters in books, but the battles were realistic and she sustained actual damage. The time travel part didn't really make sense to me, but I enjoyed the period-accurate aspects and actually learned some stuff about the time period. It took a bit for the plot to kick in, but it gave me time to get to know the characters better, and once the plot did kick in it felt fast-paced. The audio made her sound petulant and had awful fake accents but scence I remembered how I read it at first it didn't bother me too much, but if this is your first time reading DON'T LISTEN TO THE AUDIOBOOK. One thing I really didn't understand was how she kept reffering to the guys like "he was definitely a man, unlike MoDeRn MeN ew"And insulted nerdy guys(on multiple occasions I think?), and it was kinda annoying. If i don't like nerds than that wont be an issue.
