(Actual rating is 3 1/2 stars) What a cute novel, whether you know the Lumberjanes or not you'll love this book. Great characters that defy gender stereotypes and have such an infectious "we can do it" attitude. As a fan of the comics I was thrilled to read this, however it was a little underwhelming to me, but maybe I'm just too old. I feel like towards the first half of the book it's trying too hard to capture that bouncy energy of the comics, but by the end I loved it. For me it's a 3 1/2 star rating but I'm outside the reading range for this and I know it, kids and tweens will love this, hopefully it pulls comic readers into prose or vice versa. Solid read and I can't wait for the next volume.
