”If they wanted Adarlan's Assassin, they'd get her. And Wyrd help them when she arrived.”

Honestly can’t explain my love for these books.

Celaena is a complete badass. She’s loves with all of her heart and cares deeply for those she loves and if anything stands in her way then all hell breaks loose. She is unpredictable and wild but still the same sarcastic and arrogant assassin I love. We finally see the ruthless killer and I was not disappointed. She’s no longer afraid to hide her true self around her friends. Chaol still remains one of my favourites. Even after rereading this, I never saw why many people disliked him. He’s made a very bad decision but feels extremely guilty and yet he still chooses to love Celaena after everything. My poor Dorian, you just wait. You’ll find happiness. I love Dorian to pieces. He’s so innocent but badass at the same time, especially after finding out he has magic — raw magic. Rereading this made me realise how much I actually liked Nehemia. She was the person who set everything in place and suffered the consequences. She was such a kind soul, even after keeping secrets. Let’s not forget the talking door knocker; Mort. He’s hilarious! I want him on my door.

Overall the character development was amazing. You see each character grow. From a sacrificial Captain of the Guard to a defiant Crown Prince who is beginning to stand up to his father.

”I want you to remember that it wouldn't have made any difference to me. It's never made any difference to me when it came to you. I'd still pick you. I'll always pick you.”

Crown of Midnight had it all; magic, adventure, romance, mystery, secrets and mind blowing fights. I would love to be in the Throne of Glass universe. I want to run with Chaol and Celaena every morning (more like watching shirtless Chaol run), explore in the tomb, I want to do everything. Sarah J Maas creates a spectacular universe with unexpected plot twists and perfect imagery.

”Why are you crying?"
"Because," she whispered, her voice shaking, "you remind me of what the world ought to be. What the world can be."

I so can’t wait to reread Heir of Fire, especially when Rowan comes in and the struggles that Celaena has to overcome. The world is going to get much deadlier and I honestly want to stay up all night reading.

I absolutely loved the relationships and friendships however in the book. Even though I love Celaena and Rowan, Celaena with the Crown Prince and the Captain of the Guard hold a special place in my heart. They was everything she needed and much more when coming out of the mines. Dorian and Celaena’s friendship is the kind of friendship I want. They protect each other, regardless of the price. They want to see each other happy and that is so cute.

”The rest of the world quieted into nothing. In that moment, after ten long years, Celaena looked at Chaol and realised she was home.”

I highly recommend this series, you won’t forget it. To me, it’s literally perfection.
