The Robin on the Oak Throne
by K.A. Linde
Book 2 in this trilogy (?) picks up pretty quickly after book 1. Kierse immediately gets herself in trouble again, and Graves comes to save her. However, their time apart has had an impact on them, and the trust that was destroyed at the end of the first book may be tough to rebuild.
I'm really enjoying the world that the author has created here and her morally grey characters. Kierse is so tough on the outside, but her loyalty is true, even to some who may not deserve it. The last portion of the book destroyed me, and I still can not stop thinking about and crying for our main characters. I can't even imagine how the next book is going to resolve the situating Kierse ended up in, and I'm sure there will be more devastation along the way. However, nothing will stop me from reading it and seeing how the trilogy ends!
