Crying in H Mart by Michelle Zauner

5.0

I went into this book without knowing it was Japanese breakfast's story, I just knew it was a memoir that a lot of people loved so I said "yeah, why not?".
Oh my god. This book made me cry SO MUCH.
Maybe it was because my biggest fear in this life is losing my loved ones, and Zauner has a way with words that makes the reader feel her pain, her frustrations, her love.
It is, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful and heartbreaking books I've read this year.
