This is the first-ever sports-related book I've read and for someone who doesn't know anything about tennis Reid beautifully starts the book explaining the fundas of tennis which made it easy for me to journey through the book. I DEVOURED this piece of literature in 2 days. And the only thing keeping it from being a 5-star rated book is the Spanish dialogue. Well, it's understandable because Carrie Soto does have a Spanish background but the dialogue didn't have any translation. I was lucky to be reading a PDF copy so I was just copy-pasting the dialogue onto Google Translate but I still found it tedious.
Honestly, I loved it. I was reading the book as if I was watching actual tennis matches, literally on the edge of my seat. I loved the little cross-overs of the other books in the TJR Universe.
