wow I flew through this book! it’s been a while since I cared so much for the characters of a book. the main characters are flawed, yet have so much heart to their soul that I couldn’t help but root for them. I also loved how each chapter represents a year and we get to grow with these characters. the writing was beautiful to read and I already want to reread! this book has the foundations of what I love in a literary fiction, so this has definitely become a new favorite 🥹🩷
p.s. a mild spoiler but I also loved the “childhood friends to lovers” trope in this book 👫
