Black Widow Vol. 3: Last Days by Nathan Edmondson

3.0

Black Widow finally goes head to head with her new enemy, the mystery "Chaos" organization which has been discretely murdering and controlling large portions of the world without S.H.I.E.L.D.'s knowledge.

Not a bad conclusion but really in the same "meh" category as the rest of the series. I just never felt like Black Widow grew in any way as a character or felt like anything other than a cardboard cutout. Maybe I've been spoiled by Brubaker and Rucka but this is just....not that great. It's certainly less than Widow deserves. The end story which shows Natasha's origin was the best part of the entire series and it wasn't even part of the main story. Guess I'll just have to go re-read Velvet to get my kickass spy fix.
