Enjoyed this book and the themes of addiction, religion and family that it explored. For me, I would've preferred there to be more to the plot. It was very circular and inward-looking which was probably purposeful as it does link into those themes, especially addiction, strongly. It just meant that sometimes it felt like I was reading the same thing over and over again without any forward movement. Beautiful descriptions of and insights into the mother/daughter relationship here though.
