Frühlings Erwachen Eine Kindertragödie by Frank Wedekind

The more I think about this book, the more it makes me wonder how it was like back then at its release date. I admire Frank for being to deadly honest, about the consequences if your children are not getting the education, which they‘re rightful entitled to.

At first I took it very lightly and saw it with humor about how naive most of the characters were, but this quickly changed after the scene between Wendla and Melchior… and most especially the scene with my favorite character, Moritz.

I understand completely why Spring Awakening is ‘til this day very much relevant to the school / literature.
