Donut Fall in Love by Jackie Lau

Just adorable!

[a:Jackie Lau|17814757|Jackie Lau|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1521036145p2/17814757.jpg]'s latest, Donut Fall in Love, delivers exactly what I've come to expect from one of her books--it's sweet, funny, romantic, and good grief, makes me hungry. Donuts, cupcakes, cakes, bubble tea, six-pack abs--all my weaknesses ;)

Ryan and Lindsay have an absolutely adorable meet cute, and their baking lessons are positively mouthwatering, in every possible way. Behind all the cuteness, though, they're both dealing with a lot--Ryan's family is in a free fall, and Lindsay's BFF/roommate/business partner has just gotten married, which means she's had to get a new apartment and roommate, and for someone who hasn't made a new friend in years, the adjustment is...a lot. And did I mention her mother's started dating again?

Rooting for the two of them to get together was a no-brainer, even while you knew it wasn't going to be easy--after all, he is Ryan Kwok of #StarringRyanKwoksAbs!--and though I do wish they'd explored that a bit more (also what was going on with @RyanKwoksFather's secret life? We got some of that toward the end, but it still felt a bit thin) the epilogue was lovely. Now, please tell me there's a Mel/Vivian story in the works :)
