I'm Glad My Mom Died
by Jennette McCurdy
dark
emotional
funny
sad
tense
fast-paced
The only memoir/biography type book that I really enjoyed. It's really hard to read at some parts of the books but that's exactly how it should be. These kind of topics are hard to talk about and I applaud Jennette for working so hard on her journey and sharing it. I totally recommend reading this book. It really opens your eyes on the reality of child actors. It gives insight on her choices in life, why she stopped acting, and why she refused to do the reboot.
Graphic: Alcoholism, Child abuse, Eating disorder, Emotional abuse, Toxic relationship, Vomit
Moderate: Chronic illness, Cursing, Panic attacks/disorders, Rape, Sexual assault, Sexual content, Death of parent
