Heaven and Earth by Nora Roberts

3.0

This series is so similar to Nora Roberts' Cousins O'Dwyer series that the story feel quite flat and uninteresting for me (as I read the other series first)

First, the witches (and yes, they are all considered that) follow the same quest of undoing a spell/curse put upon them generations ago, with the help of a romantic interest

Second, the characters (and even the order of their stories) are the same: first the 'outsider/new addition', then the 'fiery and strong' personality and finally the 'controlled/long-lost love interest' character.

I found the Cousins O'Dwyer series to be much more interesting and have a fuller storyline with more action and detail. I would definitely choose that series if deciding between the two.

This story felt a bit one-dimensional with little development in the actual plot (the 'quest').
