This book made me cry on an airplane in a very embarrassing lapse of composure. I have had very few members of my family serve in the military however even with the lack of understanding of the whole process this book and its contents hit me like a gut punch. I felt so much and it hurt in the best way. The journeys of grief and healing in the face of extreme challenges were portrayed so well and I desperately loved this book, hopefully book 2 will keep up the momentum.
