lyderature 's review for:

Scorpia by Anthony Horowitz

If you've been faithfully following this series ever since Stormbreaker came out who-knows-how-many years ago, then you pretty much know what to expect from Scorpia, (both the insane sabotage terrorist group that's located all over the world, AND the novel). If you're a relative newbie, but you've caught up, flew through the first four books, fell absolutely in love with Horowitz's teen spy novels, then you should know what to expect too.

It's Alex Rider. By default, the books are action-packed, Usain-Bolt-kind-of-fast paced, and definitely intense. And epic.

Scorpia meets all this criteria, and exceeds it.

Honestly, I think each of these books keeps on getting better and better. More treachery, more lies, more insight into the world of espionage and secrets (both good and bad), more questioning of said goods and bads, and some plot twists that kept readers on their toes.

Scorpia had more everything. And it was great.

Random Thing to Point Out: Is anyone else getting a sort of Dashner/Maze Runner vibe from this book? Scorpia...and WICKED, both organizations that seem totally psychotic and twisted, but when you think about it, they do think that they're doing the right thing. It's this whole black and white, evil and good situation.

If you've gotten to the fifth book already, well don't stop now. Read on! It's worth it.
