i seriously can not put into words how this book made me feel. being a queer kid in alabama, this book was like looking into a mirror. i felt seen in ways i never had before without being in my own mind. chloe green is me in text and smith parker is the embodiment someone i hope to become or have in my life one day. all in all, this book did a FANTASTIC job with keeping the queerness very realistic to southern, especially bible belt, standards and lifestyle. it had me frowning, smiling, and tearing up without even realizing it before my face either grew sore or tears spilled into my mouth. please go read if you can :))))
