The Lies of Locke Lamora
by Scott Lynch
oh wow! ive been putting this off for a long time, im glad i finally read it. this was a very well written and entertaining story.
i really enjoyed the constant change between past and present. at first i saw the flashbacks as interruptions from the main storyline, but then i simply fell in love with this style. it kept the book fresh and engaging, not to mention everything was necessary for greater impact. im sure the reading experience would've been different if the book was written in chronological order. this was def a good choice.
the parallels between motivations, the constant second guessing (how are they gonna get out of this one now?), the setting...
overall a great experience!
(im def gonna take my time reading this series tho, since the next books arent out yet)
