Darkest Hour Before Dawn by Charlie Cochet
2.0

Overall, i was not a fan. This book felt like it was just a copy paste of Dex and Sloane and some of the things that makes them unique in the story, setting them apart from the supporting cast. Like having them join TIN. I didn’t mind the mates thing, i like how this gave someone for Dex to confide in and talk about mate stuff but to make them another mated couple joining TIN, no, i dislike taking any spotlight away from the main couple (no matter how small) and I end up gate keeping what they achieve lol sorry not sorry.
I also felt that the characters had bullshit reasons for the things they did, Hudson was very annoying with his actions. And has Seb just blindly followed everything.
The think i did like the the very stereotypical Britishness of Hudson. /gen you can tell the author was like what are the most British things I can think of, oh his favourite breakfast is full English, he makes Cornish pasties, has a typical English accent and he drinks tea excessively. Hmm yes the American British is strong in this one lmao /lh
