The Lonely City: Adventures in the Art of Being Alone by Olivia Laing

reflective sad slow-paced

4.25

Wonderful prose and writing by Laing. I enjoyed the in-depth dive into the topic of loneliness, illuminated with well-researched examples across historic dimensions. Although lacking in diversity across many dimensions, the book still captures the ways in which loneliness can be expressed that transcends time and ego.
