I really loved this addition to the series. Quest Squad encountered a bunch of new sovereign nations and expanded the world building quite a bit, and side characters like Garrick and Ridoc got a lot more attention and development. Yarros does such a good job with hinting and foreshadowing that I want to give the whole series a re-read after this. I can't stop theorizing!
I did find the changing POV's at the end quite jarring in the audiobook, but I enjoyed getting to see other rider/dragon bonds and what they were up to concurrently with Violet's mission.
