Slow burn but a good story

This is a slow burn, but the strained chemistry is there from the start. It is agonising at times and you want to shout at the MC'S when they don't voice their feelings. This is a single POV so we never get Whit's full thoughts. It works for this book because Whit is a man of few words and it adds to his quirkiness. The ending redeemed the slowness for me. It was lovely to see Whit be brave enough for the both of them and gave us a HFN.
