Some expected and unexpected revelations. And that cliffhanger is quite a doozy!

I knew from the get go the council are pieces of crap, so things they did throughout the book wasn't surprising in the least. What did surprise me is the betrayal from one of Olivia's closest friends. That was awful to read. And the devastation she felt was heartbreaking. But along with that devastation, the rage coming off of her. They better run and run fast.

My favorite parts of the book is the friendship Nelle, Kali, and Olivia have. They both back her up. And love her unconditionally. I'm all about good female friendships in stories.

What I didn't likenabout this book was the way Adrian and Mateo acted towards Olivia. They, especially Adrian, treated her like garbage. The worst part is that Olivia took it! Where was the no nonsense doesn't take crap from anyone girl I loved in book one? She was definitely MIA in this one.

There are so many twists and turns that had me at the edge of my seat. My anxiety was soaring through the roof and I wanted the book to end. But I also didn't want it to end because I knew there'd be a terrible cliffhanger! Ugh! Such a good second book.
