Let’s dive into the drama of this book because let me tell you, Disaya is turning into the victim we didn’t want her to turn into! I mean, come on, girl! We get it—life has thrown you a few curveballs, and yes, you've had your fair share of chaos. But seriously, can we put the “woe is me” act on pause? At some point, you’ve got to shake it off, you got your man and daughter, your healthy, and Zya plugged you in so you getting money. Come on now!
After Zya worked her magic and nursed Disaya back to health, our girl decided the only way to celebrate was by cozying up to some pills—like they were her long-lost best friends! But when the party got shut down, she thought, “Why not level up to the hard stuff??” Talk about a plot twist no one asked for! Reality check, Disaya: we can’t keep blaming Leah for everything! At this point, Disaya is practically handing out loyalty cards for manipulation and lies—congrats, you’re just like Leah 2.0!
But I will give credit where credit's due; she pulled a major snow-making stunt, putting her family back on the map. But wait—what’s this? Another plot twist? The obsession with Leah has created a tornado that’s about to hit Indie and Chase’s friendship too! I mean, come on, we’re about to sell tickets for the friendship drama!
And Leah? That chick must have nine lives! I’m convinced she’s either a cat in disguise or part of some supernatural sitcom because there’s no way she’s still standing after the whole “miscarriage and fire” episode. Like, did she find the magical elixir of life or something, because baby I need it!
We left off on the wildest cliffhanger imaginable! I’m practically on the edge of my seat, popcorn in hand, ready to see who will dodge the figurative and literal bullet on this battlefield. Hats off to Indie and Chase for keeping it real and holding on tight to their bond, like true OGs, despite Yaya trying to stir the pot.
Bring on book 4.
