I almost went with five stars, because I generally really enjoyed this book and tore through it in record time – something I wasn't expecting, despite being a "Gilmore Girls" fan. I told a friend, when I was about halfway through, that it was like having a long, dishy coffee date with Graham, where she tells you all kinds of details about her experiences. From her really unusual family situation as a child, to her, in turns, upsetting and hilarious audition experiences at a Michigan summer stock theater, to her revisiting the original "Gilmore" seasons and providing her memories and thoughts, to her being a judge on "Project Runway" – another of my fave shows – I was totally hooked. Only toward the end did the book lose its momentum/energy for me. Similar to my reaction to the Netflix "Gilmore Girls" re-boot season of four 90 minute eps, Graham's diary of filming these episodes weren't nearly as fun as what came before, I'm afraid. Even so, I overall had a ball reading Graham's prose. It's not a coincidence that this vibrant, fun, candid, smart woman was cast as one of of my favorite loquacious TV characters. She's really a pleasure to spend some time with.
