Will Grayson, Will Grayson by John Green
5.0
I love this novel.
but i didn't at first.
At first I was annoyed with the two Will Grayson's. I found them nearly intolerable. I quickly came to like the other characters in the book, however, and they kept me reading to the magical moment when the Will Grayson's meet. John Green and David Levithan create such compelling, sharply defined characters; even the parents have some really great character moments.
i especially have to rave about tiny cooper. he steals every scene he is in. hilarious, bigger-than-life, touching, so good-hearted, dealing with his own doubts by being the most fabulous person and friend he can be.
Each chapter switches to the other Will's perspective and as the storylines come together and pull apart, Green and Levithan maintain a compelling plot full of great emotional beats and an ending that just soars.
