This was so cute! In a similar vein to Twilight, Grace meets a mysterious boy who she is immediately attracted to and cannot figure out why she is so drawn to him. Having been a Twi-girlie, and knowing the content of the book, I wanted to yell in her face "SAY IT!" but it was fun to watch unfold.

It was strange getting used to the modern language because I wasn't aware of how recent the book was released. Most of my vampire books as of late have been with centuries of history in the background, but this was built into the modern world. So when the characters are "tired AF" and using Venmo, it was a little alarming at first. It is something you get used to eventually.

The plot was predictable for the most part, but I did like the twist of finding out the bad guy in the end. It created a little more drama, rather than just building up the school and beings. The romance was cute and not over-the-top. It also showed how the two related to each other, rather than just having a supernatural bond.

I'll definitely be continuing with the series and seeing where Jackson and Grace end up.
