I really enjoyed this book. Ivy and her dragon familiar, Celestia are such a great pair, and their adventure keeps you on your toes throughout the book. I enjoyed the pacing of this novel, it's definitely written as a YA book, but it's still enjoyable for adults. I also enjoyed that the romance element of this book wasn't overblown and taken to the forefront of the novel, and it remained focused on Ivy and protecting her dragon Celestia. Their relationship was truly well written and has all the hallmarks of a great partnership. It was a quick read that was very easy to lose yourself in, I really can see the fans of How To Train Your Dragon and Eragon, and even Dragonriders of Pern, young or old will enjoy this book, and I look forward to reading more from this author!
