Loot: How to Steal a Fortune by Jude Watson

2.0

Not my kind of book, but I could see this appealing to readers of The 39 Clues and other action/adventure stories about kids doing cool spy/crime stuff. March's father is a world-renowned jewel thief who leaves a mystery for his son when he plummets to his death during a heist. With help from the sister he didn't know he had and a motley crew of foster kids, March sets out to solve the mystery--and perhaps break a curse?--before it's too late. Readers will need to suspend disbelief (the things these preteens do and know require a bit of imagination to buy into), but the action and humor helped even a skeptic like me get through to the end.
