Neurolinguistics and Linguistic Aphasiology: An Introduction by David Caplan

4.0

Quite comprehensive and comprehensible. An overview of the bulk of neurolinguistic and aphasiological work done from Broca through the early 1980s, with a little bit of modeling and psycholinguistics thrown in for flavor. It did a great job balancing demands from both linguistics and linguistic aphasiology, covering basic syntactic theory, basic neuroscience, and basic aphasia studies for the novice approaching this book. Obviously very dense and not up to date, but a great background!
