First off, I will listen to anything narrated by Julia Whelan. This is my first Kristin Hannah book and it has left me emotionally wrecked in the best way. What a stunning description of the stark beauty of the Alaskan wilderness. The study of the complexities of family and community and radicalization and loss and self discovery was breathtaking and heart wrenching.
