Loved the quietness of the book. At the heart it is a novel that invites reflection while simultaneously building tension beautifully. Admittedly, I had to sit with the ending to sort out my feelings about the conclusion, but I came around to it.
A running theme I latched onto is the use of voice, or lack thereof, in granting, or conversely stripping identity and agency and the importance in guarding it, “one morning you’ll simply wake up and it will be over, before you even realized it.”
