The Adventures of Amina Al-Sirafi by S.A. Chakraborty

4.0

I loved that the social agenda had to do with an older woman and mother still pursuing her dreams against the patriarchy & that the social agenda while a main part of the book wasn't constantly on show. I also love the general story & the mystical/mythical elements. The story was kind of long and I didn't feel super emotionally attached to the characters for whatever reason and I didn't feel captivated or all consumed by any means but I also didn't necessarily feel like the story was dragging on either. Overall I'd recommend it but I probably wouldn't read it a 2nd time.
