Seven Days in June by Tia Williams

3.0

I’m definitely in the minority for this book, I didn’t love it. I’d give it a 2.5 ⭐️. This book was really hyped up everywhere and I don’t really understand why. I wish I knew what serious subjects were discussed throughout the story, I did not expect it. Some of the lines, and the spice were too cheesy for me. What I enjoyed the most was the relationship in the present time between Shane and Eva, but it wasn’t enough, I really wanted more of that. I couldn’t buy that because they had had those seven days in June way back when, where equally a lot but nothing really happened, they had such a strong connection both then and now. It was a bit too insta love without being developed enough. I didn’t like the inclusion of the POV of other people like Ty, or Eva’s mother or Shane’s woman he was sleeping with in the past, even Audre. It just didn’t feel necessary to me. Either way, I’m glad I read it. I think the author touched on a lot of topics you don’t see enough in romance books, very real life takes which I appreciated and this was done well.
