maybe riven and parrish (awful name) were cute at some points and trust me I enjoyed the story in some ways… but when I say that not even the injury trope (WHICH IVE SAID OFTEN THAT I LOVE) could fix this for me I am being serious. 

They fell super fast for each other and fine, that’s fine—Riven was in jail and omg it’s been SO LONG without shooting off a load (😣), which obviously would be fine if the sex scenes weren’t as painful as falling from your bed into a floor full of legos. 

I skimmed through every single bit of sex scenes because i genuinely couldn’t. I started this boook because im having a shitty week and shitty day and it truly RUINED my day more. Like every time I read the book I was like oh okay not so bad and when I started reading another menstrual cramps type of painful sex scene it was like I was snapped back into the real world and the book became nothing to me 😭 

I hate giving bad reviews I SWEAR but I can’t even blame this on the fact that I was not in the mood or it was not the good time for me to read it (which I sometimes say and accept with some books) no. 

And yea yea yea maybe I shouldn’t judge a book and story by its sex scenes but if you’re gonna have so many at least don’t make them with chlorine??? bc I swear my eyes watered every damn time I read over those dialogues AND EVEN THE DESCRIPTIONS.


it was torture I am so sorry. I think DEFINITELY that Riley is always hit or miss…
