This book had much more depth than I originally anticipated. It was sweet and heartfelt, funny and emotional all tied in an easy to read package. Food sharing as an act of love is central to the development of the characters and their relations and doesn’t, for one moment feel cliched or trite. It was rich and beautiful and captured the ways that life is both complicated and simple. This book is a new favorite and one I will no doubt return to like a comforting sweater.
