Fifty Words for Rain by Asha Lemmie
3.0
Familial obligations in a dysfunctional family is always a good base for a book.
Vivid and heartbreaking, I immediately attached to Nori.
So why three stars?
• It felt kind of soapy, which—for me—took away from the story
• The ending was not satisfying for me at all.
• It was maybe a little too ambitious and the different narrators didn’t do it for me this time, even though I normally live for different perspectives.
I am still v impressed that this is a debut novel.
