Poetry isn't something I typically gravitate to, but the simplicity behind Amanda Loveless's work is wonderful. shine your icy crown is a perfect follow up to break your glass slippers. The premise behind this series of deconstructing fairy tale beliefs that modern womanhood continues to uphold is both heartbreaking and powerful. This book is a wonderful mediation or devotional tool; each page holds different interpretations based on the reader's viewpoint.
It's wonderful escapism and powerful introspection at the same time.
