The Way We Win by Tia Louise
3.75
lighthearted slow-paced

When Allie moved to Jack’s town, she became friends with his siblings, and the two are attracted to each other. However, they have not acted on them because what if something happened to ruin what they have as friends? Jack used to be a professional football player, and he coaches Allie’s son. When threats from Allie’s past resurface, she and Jack can no longer hide their feelings and have to act on them. The poetry wall was such a good idea. They each had the best relationships with the others kids, and that was nice to see: Allie’s son was so sweet and understood how to help and support fellow football players.
