While acting in a Broadway play as a backup performer, she gains other opportunities to showcase her talent. Performing so well that she played lead as Dessi Blue. Eventually, she falls in love with her director (Canon).
Weeks left before wrapping up the movie, her illness causes complications. It left her needing to make amends with her mom and sister. Canon played a role in letting her know it was okay to put her pride to the side. Yet, through everything she endured, he stuck by her side. Definitely proving his love every chance he got.
