This has turned into one the best books I have ever read. I received this book with the tags, Islamic, Tragic, Oppressive, and I was immediately intrigued. The quote before the prologue reads, "If you can't eliminate injustice, at least tell everyone about it." Ali Shariati. As I read this during the revolt and protests in Sudan I was driven to piece together the fates of each brother and understand how the government dismantled a family. I will use this quote and Pari's idea of the golden cage for the rest of my life and to propel through media the injustices in Sudan.
