This was not really what I expected. Based off of the cover and how it was marketed I thought it was going to be lighter and fluffier.
Too much time was spent on the ‘enemies’ side of the plot, and the third act conflict would’ve hit a lot harder if Iliana and Rhodes had been romantically involved/ a couple for at least 25% of the book.
I liked the comic illustrations throughout the book, and I felt that Iliana and Rhodes had depth; they were flawed, they felt like real people out in the world.
There also should’ve been a trigger warning for depression.
