3.5 stars. Don't let the cover fool you, this is a good first book in a series. I'm looking forward to continuing on with Kate Fox in her life in rural Nebraska. This is likely to appeal to fans of C.J. Box who enjoy the rugged outdoors as the landscape and weather are major players in this book.
