Really good stuff. Both mcs had real issues driving their respective angst, which I truly appreciate in a rivals trope. I also felt like the dialogue/content was more realistic for high school than I’ve seen in other books.
And wow, I love this heroine? Super driven, hardworking, but also nice???? And stands up for herself???? This is practically unheard of in YA. I also just really like competent heroines, and Eve knocks this role out of the park figuratively and literally when it comes to being an athlete.
I don’t think Jamie was my fav dude ever. But what he was going through felt painfully real. So I was gonna love him for that anyways.
Because I actually have no complaints, for once in maybe my whole life, 5 ⭐️s. What a good day.
